Printing a Bill of Material
You may print the bill of material (BOM) after you create a new finished good (see Adding a Bill of Material) or by following the instructions below.
1. At the Finished Good Item field, enter the item code for the finished good you want to print a BOM for.
If you are uncertain of the customer code, see Navigating Net Yield - Selecting an Item.
2. Command options will appear; select Print.
3. Command options will appear allowing you to print or choose from a set of other print options.
The following information will print on the BOM:
- The finished good item ID, name, and last date changed will print on the report header.
- ID – The item code for the raw material or other raw material item.
- Component/Adjustment – The raw material component(s) name or the cost adjustment type id and name for the manufacturing cost standard.
- UN – The component item unit of measure also used to indicate whether the component item is an ORM Actual or ORM Standard.
- Component items:
- P – Indicates whether the component item is the primary rm, raw material, or infrequent rm source type.
- M – Indicates whether manufacturing costs will be applied to the finished good.
- For other raw material items – The quantity and unit of measure of the component item needed to produce the finished goods item.
- Scrap – The scrap factor for the other raw material item.
- Manufacturing cost:
- Account – The ledger account and cost center numbers for the cost adjustment type.
- Amount – The rate and method of how the cost will be calculated, per pound, per each or total dollars.
- Last Changed – The date of the last change to the manufacturing cost standards.
